Spay Alabama holds HOOTERS® for NOOTERS™ event in Trussville, AL

The Trussville (Alabama) HOOTERS® and SPAY Alabama held a HOOTERS® for NOOTERS™ fundraiser on June 14 featuring games, prizes, food, refreshments and of course, NOOTERS CLUB® t-shirts and tank tops! Guests were invited to bring their dogs and CBS - Channel 42 covered the event. 

SPAY Alabama Executive Director Donald Kendricks says that the event originated from a "yappy hour" that a group was holding at the Trussville HOOTERS® with their pets out on the patio. The HOOTERS® for NOOTERS™ event took this a step further with the goal of raising money for spay/neuter for families in the Birmingham (Alabama) metro area.  Estimates are that 50,000 healthy animals are euthanized in the metro area (Birmingham plus one hour away) each year. Kendricks says he hopes that HOOTERS® for NOOTERS™ will become a regular event.

Californian Nancy Janes organizing spay/ neuter caravan to help Romanian street dogs

Nancy Janes of northern California, founder of Romania Animal Rescue (RAR), is organizing a spay and neuter caravan to help reduce the overpopulation of street dogs in Romania along with a trap-neuter-return program. Janes founded RAR following a hiking trip to Romania with some friends in 2001.  Since that time, Janes and her husband have helped local animal rescue groups build a much-needed shelter, have taken many working vacations to Romania, provided financial support and much, much more.  Read her amazing story written for Best Friends Animal Society by NOOTERS CLUB® founder Linda Wasche at www.bestfriends.org.

C-SNIP of Grand Rapids, MI plans HOOTERS® for NOOTERS™ for Aug./Sept.

C-SNIP of Kentwood, MI has joined with NOOTERS CLUB® in a HOOTERS® for NOOTERS™ event to be held in August and September at the Grand Rapids HOOTERS®.  C-SNIP runs a low-cost, high-volume, high- quality spay and neuter clinic serving the Grand Rapids metro area.  This year, the clinic announced it had completed its 50,000^th sterilization!

The HOOTERS® for NOOTERS™ event will start with a month-long promotion featuring sales to HOOTERS® patrons of low-cost spay and neuter vouchers and a special NOOTERS CLUB® t-shirt made specifically for the event.  Customers, who buy the vouchers, register to have their pet transported from HOOTERS® to C-SNIP during a Saturday in September.  A part of proceeds from the NOOTERS CLUB® shirt sales will go to C-SNIP.  Watch our next issue for more information, or contact .

NOOTERS CLUB® helps Tiny Paws promote rabbit spay/neuter
