This partnership between NOOTERS CLUB®, Pet Supplies Plus, Nature's Valley, Oakland Pet Adoption Center of Auburn Hills, Michigan and Elizabeth Lake Animal Rescue was intended to place as many cats and kittens in good homes as possible. NOOTERS CLUB® also sold pre-registrations for $20 cat spays and neuters, to be provided by Oakland Pet Adoption Center.
In honor of Earth Day (April 22),
NOOTERS CLUB® joined with Pet Supplies Plus® of Bloomfield Hills, MI and All About Animals Rescue of Warren, MI to encourage pet owners to get their pets fixed by offering low-cost, high-quality spay and neuter.

"An order of chicken wings and one dog or cat neuter, please!" That's what customers of
HOOTERS® of Grand Rapids were saying when the restaurant launched its
HOOTERS® for NOOTERS™ campaign to encourage pet owners to get their animals fixed.
HOOTERS® of Grand Rapids, NOOTERS CLUB® and C-SNIP joined together to offer discounts on dog and cat sterilizations. During September, HOOTERS® of Grand Rapids customers were invited to enjoy specially featured items such as boneless chicken wings and drinks like "Cat Nip" and "Nut Cracker" promoting the HOOTERS® for NOOTERS™ campaign. The Trussville (Alabama) HOOTERS® and SPAY Alabama held a HOOTERS® for NOOTERS™ fundraiser on June 14, 2009 featuring games, prizes, food, refreshments and of course, NOOTERS CLUB® t-shirts and tank tops! Guests were invited to bring their dogs and CBS - Channel 42 covered the event.
SPAY Alabama Executive Director Donald Kendricks says that the event originated from a "yappy hour" that a group was holding at the Trussville HOOTERS® with their pets out on the patio. The HOOTERS® for NOOTERS™ event took this a step further with the goal of raising money for spay/neuter for families in the Birmingham (Alabama) metro area. Estimates are that 50,000 healthy animals are euthanized in the metro area (Birmingham plus one hour away) each year. Kendricks says he hopes that HOOTERS® for NOOTERS™ will become a regular event.
