    Certificates must be used by pet owners. Not open to feral cats or dogs at this time.
    Unable to provide these services for other rescue organizations at this time.
    Unable to do spay/neuter for dogs over 60 pounds at this time.  Please call to discuss other options .

  • Frederick County Humane Society
    Frederick
    The Frederick County Humane Society offers a year-round vet-subsidized voucher program for low income Frederick County residents. Pet Overpopulation Prevention (POP) has specific income guidelines for participation. Surgery cost is as follows: $65 dog spay or neuter; $60 cat spay; $30 cat neuter. We also offer Quick Fix for Cats: $20 neuters; $35 spays.

    To qualify for our low-cost program, you must be one of the following:
    A cat or dog* owner earning less than $25,000 annually or a household earning less than $42,000 a year. Proof of income is required and can be based on last year's income tax form, Social Security Disability, all W-2 forms for the family, Section 8, Free Lunch, Food Stamps, VA Disability, AFDC, WIC or Pay Stub.
    An animal welfare group with 501(c)(3) status.
    A feral cat caretaker.
    An owner of a Pit Bull (no income requirements).
