    You can purchase a low-cost spay or neuter certificate from the Alabama Animal Adoption Society for the following prices*: Female Cat – $45; Male Cat – $35; Female Dog – $70; Male Dog – $50. Please see website for list of participating veterinarians.
  • Alabama Friends Humane Society

    Offers a low-cost Spay/Neuter program for qualified individuals in Morgan, Lawrence, and Limestone counties of Alabama. Contact for an application.
  • Alabama Spay/Neuter Clinic

    On Feral Cat Fridays, cat colony caretakers are encouraged to trap as many of their feral cats as possible and bring them to the clinic for spay/neuter, supplemental pain meds, rabies vaccination, and flea, worm, and ear mite treatment. All cats will have their ears tipped to show that they have been altered.
  • Mobile SPCA - Maddie's Spay Neuter Project

    A low-income spay/neuter program administered by the state veterinary medical association for pets of people who receive Medicaid assistance and who reside in Mobile County. Medicaid recipients will be eligible to have six pets per household spayed or neutered in any one year, with a total cap of 12 animals per household during the 7 years of the grant at the reduced cost of $10 for a cat and $20 for a dog.
  • Quick Fix

    Get your "momma" dog or cat fixed for free, for Shelby County residents who surrender puppies or kittens to Shelby Humane Society. Spay/neuter surgeries will be provided for $18 each to Shelby County residents who prove assistance through any state or locally established public assistance program, or can show proof of eligibility for free or reduced school lunch programs.

Dog owners are expected to make a copayment toward their pets spay or neuter. Their copayments are determined by their individual financial situations. An average copayment for male dog is $40 and female dog $50.

    Offering low-cost spay/neuter vouchers ($10 per cat, $15 per dog) for pet owners in Sacramento and Yolo Counties with an annual household income of $35,000 of less. Residents of Sacramento County (except for the incorporated cities of Elk Grove, Folsom, Rancho Cordova and Sacramento) seeking to spay or neuter cats, pit bulls or pit bull mixes only can receive vouchers regardless of their income, thanks to a partnership with Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation.
